NAMM 2016: Fender Custom Shop and the Music Repeater Telecaster
Debuting at the Fender Showcase at the 2016 NAMM Show is a one-of-a-kind guitar from Master Builder Yuriy Shishkov called the Master Repeater Telecaster.
As part of the Fender Custom Shop 2016 Prestige Collection for NAMM, this is fully performing guitar is based on the 18th century pocket watch Repeater with a floating timepiece musical repeater built into it. The guitar also comes with a two hundred year-old antique 18-karat gold and diamond repeater watch.

Created in Fender’s Custom Shop, the Music Repeater marries Swiss-made mechanical movement with intricately inlaid precious materials such as 1,005 diamonds, 38 sapphires and 325 natural pearls, in addition to 18-karat rose gold wire inlay and 18-karat rose gold sheet inlay.
Custom-designed hardware and hand-stained wood mesh with gilded hand-carved patterns move along the delicate instrument to form an authentic example of the luthier’s art. Adding to the technical playability of the instrument, the visually stimulating guitar features fine silver accents and neck plate “plaque”, a cold enamel guilloche work on all custom made hardware, hand carving, fine silver and 18k gold gilding, custom pickup installed into the neck and custom electrics.
What’s more, the Repeater Tele features custom-designed electronics with a “pan” control of the guitar, an exhibition grade Birds Eye maple neck as well as a Quilt and Soft Maple body, chambered body with functional sound hole, and a hand stained custom paint job.
