Established in 1960, the Yamaha Corporation of America (YCA), then Yamaha International Corporation, offers a full line of musical instruments and audio/visual products to the U.S. market. YCA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yamaha Corporation, Japan, and is the largest of all global subsidiary companies.

Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems (YCAS) was established in 2006 as a wholly-owned subsidiary of YCA. YCAS offers a growing line of commercial audio products for the US and Canadian markets, and distributes Nexo speaker products into the US and Canada.

Yamaha Electronics Corporation (YEC) is also a wholly-owned subsidiary of YCA, and offers a comprehensive line of audio and video products to the US home entertainment market.

Within YCA’s Music Marketing Group (MMG) there are several sales and marketing divisions, i.e., piano and keyboard products, band and orchestral instruments, live sound and music production products, guitars, drums and consumer products. In addition to these product divisions, YCA has other corporate administrative divisions including Finance, Information Technology, Operations, Human Resources, Customer Financial Services, Advertising & Creative Services, and Administration. YCA also manages its substantial artist relations from three US-based facilities: Yamaha Artist Services, Inc. (YASI) in New York City, Yamaha Corporate Artist Affairs (YCAA) in Franklin, TN, and Yamaha Artist Services Hollywood (YASH) in North Hollywood, CA.

The Yamaha Motor Corporation, Ltd., begun in 1955, is a major part of the entire Yamaha group, but is a separately managed business entity from the Yamaha Corporation. The Yamaha Motor Corporation is the second largest manufacturer of motorcycles in the world. Yamaha Motor Corporation owns its wholly-owned subsidiary in the U.S. called Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA, that is handling not only motorcycles, but also snow mobiles, golf carts, outboard engines, and water vehicles, under the brand name of Yamaha as well.
