Ibanez, under its present ownership, has a history dating all the way back to 1934, with the brand beginning to establish its current international reputation beginning in the mid-1970s. From there, Ibanez went on to develop iconic guitars such as the RG, JEM, and Iceman, which thrived in popularity throughout much of the ’80s a ’90s and continue to serve as the basis of the brand’s design ethos, even today.
